Here’s a quick tip to sound more confident when talking to managers
And take more control in the conversation
👉 Turn questions into statements
For example, instead of saying;
“Do you think we should run a focus group with the impacted team members?”
Try;
“I’m wondering if we should run a focus group with the impacted team members.”
Subtle right?
But by framing your ideas as a statement rather than asking a question, you assert your perspective and demonstrate confidence in your suggestion.
This way, you’re not surrendering control or positioning them as the decision maker; you’re facilitating a collaborative exchange of ideas.
Plus, it keeps things open and leaves room to pivot if they disagree.
Give it a try and be sure to check back in let me know how it goes 🤩
